Tahlo is nestled in a stunning lakeside setting on the shores of Lake N\u00e4sij\u00e4rvi, in Mutala, Yl\u00f6j\u00e4rvi. We are located right next to Tampere \u2013 the Sauna Capital of the World. The drive is only 40 minutes from Tampere city center and two hours from Helsinki.<\/p>\n

You can easily reach Tahlo by car, boat, or bicycle. The nearest bus stop (Mutalan koulu) is 7 kilometers away. When arriving, please follow to the exact address and arrival details provided to you by email.<\/p>\n

For Cyclists<\/strong>
\nWe are conveniently located along the scenic The N\u00e4si Lake Trails. As a certified Welcome Cyclist destination<\/strong>, we provide dedicated, bicycle-friendly services and facilities for tourers.<\/p>\n

Arriving by Water<\/strong>
\nTahlo is also accessible by boat. Our rental villa features a private shore with space for two motorboats, and our docks can host larger boats as well. Dedicated boat slips are also available for our glamping guests and escape room players. Please inform us while booking if you plan to arrive by water, and we will guide you to the correct pier.<\/p>\n

The waters of Tahlo surround our old family farm, Tahlo offers exceptional opportunities for outdoor activities and fishing. As one of the oldest estates in the Tampere region, Tahlo remains an active working farm. Today, we cultivate grain alongside specialty crops such as rapeseed and oilseed hemp. For us, sustainable tourism is a vital partner to our traditional forestry and agriculture.<\/p>\n

Restoring Heritage for the Future<\/strong>
\nWe are constantly developing our tourism services, with a heart for preserving and enhancing our historic rural setting. Our goal is to renovate our traditional farm buildings to better serve the diverse needs of our guests.<\/p>\n

Currently, we are focusing on the restoration of the historic Tahlo barn. We have been granted EU funding through the local Leader group, Kantri ry<\/strong>, to research and map the potential uses of this heritage building. As this project progresses toward the investment and opening phases in the coming years, we look forward to sharing more updates with you.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The farmer of Tahlo farm, Juha “Jussi” Tahlo, lives close by and will help you with anything during your stay.<\/p>\n

Johanna is involved in all of Tahlo’s everyday chores. She takes care of the all over comfort, cleaning the premises and making the beds. The clean surfaces and soft and clean sheets, which are wonderful to curl up in when the evening comes, are all thanks to her. You might also bump into Johanna by the escape room! At the end of her travel studies, Johanna did her thesis for Tahlo Ventures on LGBTQ tourism.<\/p>\n
